چکیده

Purpose: To examine the effect of nicorandil on high glucose-induced cardiomyocyte inflammation and oxidative stress. Methods: H9C2 cardiomyocytes were divided into control group, glucose group group. The survival rate was determined using CCK-8 method. contents reactive oxygen species (ROS) by flow cytometry. MDA LDH in cell supernatant kit. Western blot real-time PCR used to assess stress, apoptosis related factors each cardiomyocytes. expression levels IL-1β immunofluorescence. Tunnel staining determine level group. Results: expressions SOD1 SOD2 significantly decreased (p < 0.05). Also, increased Furthermore, IL-1β, TNF-α, caspase 3 Bax increased, while Bcl-2 inhibited. fluorescence also significantly. NF-κB Ikkα IκB-α inhibited stress apoptosis, as well pathway downstream factor Ikkα.Conclusion: Nicorandil ameliorates damage induced glucose, inhibiting pathway, thereby lowering apoptosis. Thus, findings provide new insight development agents for treatment diabetic cardiomyopathy.

Curcumin Alleviates Diabetic Cardiomyopathy in Experimental Diabetic Rats

OBJECTIVES Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM), characterized by myocardial structural and functional changes, is an independent cardiomyopathy that develops in diabetic individuals. The present study was sought to investigate the effect of curcumin on modulating DCM and the mechanisms involved. METHODS An experimental diabetic rat model was induced by low dose of streptozoticin(STZ) combined with ...

Curcumin Alleviates Streptozotocin-Induced Hyperalgesia in Diabetic Neuropathic Rat via Attenuation of Lipid Peroxidation and Inflammation

Background and Objective: Hyperalgesia is one of the marked clinical signs of patients with diabetes mellitus that affects their lifestyle. This study was conducted to assess the anti-nociceptive effect of chronic administration of curcumin in streptozotocin (STZ)-diabetic rats using formalin, hot tail immersion, and paw pressure tests. Materials and Methods: This study was conducted on 40 male...

Myricitrin Alleviates Oxidative Stress-induced Inflammation and Apoptosis and Protects Mice against Diabetic Cardiomyopathy

Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) has been increasingly considered as a main cause of heart failure and death in diabetic patients. At present, no effective treatment exists to prevent its development. In the present study, we describe the potential protective effects and mechanisms of myricitrin (Myr) on the cardiac function of streptozotosin-induced diabetic mice and on advanced glycation end pro...

Riboflavin alleviates cardiac failure in Type I diabetic cardiomyopathy

Heart failure (HF) is a common and serious comorbidity of diabetes. Oxidative stress has been associated with the pathogenesis of chronic diabetic complications including cardiomyopathy. The ability of antioxidants to inhibit injury has raised the possibility of new therapeutic treatment for diabetic heart diseases. Riboflavin constitutes an essential nutrient for humans and animals and it is a...

Empagliflozin alleviates renal inflammation and oxidative stress in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats partly by repressing HMGB1-TLR4 receptor axis

Objective(s): Empagliflozin, a sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 (SGLT-2) inhibitor, possesses verified anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative stress effects against diabetic nephropathy. The present investigation aims to examine empagliflozin effects on the renal levels of high mobility group box-1 (HMGB1), a potent inflammatory cytokine, and its respective receptor toll-like receptor-4 (TLR-4) in ...
